Job Summary

Carries out general, cost or sub-ledger accounting activities for a defined scope. This position reports to the Regional Controller.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare JE's and review month-end financials for accuracy
  • Process adjusting entries and reclassifications as needed or directed by Controller and Plant Managers
  • Perform inventory management by monitoring transactions, update general ledgers, gather and analyze data, and perform audits and assessments for multiple asphalt and aggregate plant business units
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices, and other documents
  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Assist with AP, AR job cost and payroll duties
  • Assist with audit request
  • Ad hoc duties assigned by the Controller

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance

Skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability working with Microsoft Office products with advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding skills
