Job Summary

Are you seeking an opportunity with phenomenal benefits and growth possibilities? Barrett Paving Materials Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a loader operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and assisting in the production of hot mix asphalt at our manufacturing facilities located in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, in a safe and efficient manner
  • Assist the production process of hot mix asphalt according to established procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, as needed
  • Collaborate optimally with team and customers to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in all safety related activities to ensure you are following regulations and company policies
  • Organization and movement of all materials

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational school graduation is a plus

Skills

  • Previous experience equipment and/or working in an HMA plant is preferred
  • Good mechanical skills for equipment repair and fabrication is desirable
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours based on market demands
  • MSHA certification is considered a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditions
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE), as required.
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
