Job Summary

Responsible for the supervision, direction, communication, and development of the Ready Mix (RM) plants.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leads plant personnel to ensure efficient operations of the facilities and deliveries to customers
  • Handles staff levels, schedules, etc.
  • Assesses and analyzes departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits
  • Identifies potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to improve efficiency and revenue
  • Finds opportunities to expand or shift course to take advantage of changes in the market
  • Prepares sales forecasting
  • Coordinates yearly maintenance budget for RM department
  • Ensures universal policies and procedures are accepted and maintained throughout the RM department
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and aligned with laws and regulations
  • Lead employee activities and provides mentorship where needed
  • Ensure job expectations are communicated clearly
  • Encourages a positive work environment and culture for all employees
  • Deals with customer complaints
  • Handles employee performance issues

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business or Engineering
  • Proven track record in the field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong digital literacy
  • Confirmed ability to work with others as a team
  • Ability to strategize, plan, and implement
  • Able to succeed with minimal direction

Physical Requirments

  • Variable hours and shifts (including Saturdays as needed)
  • Work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Out of town travel possible w/ trainings/seminars
  • Exposed to mechanical equipment and moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
  • Noise level is moderate
