Purpose of the Role

The First Line Support role within Colas Group offers a valuable opportunity to develop your IT career by providing essential day-to-day support at a first line level to internal customers. This role includes occasional UK-wide site visits, allowing for varied and engaging experiences across the organisation.

Main Responsibilities

As part of the First Line Support team, you will be responsible for handling and logging support calls through the ServiceNow system, along with creating, deleting, and amending user accounts. You will manage IT ordering processes, including licence renewals and software agreements, while maintaining accurate asset and software databases.

You will also play a key role in managing the starter and leaver processes, ensuring timely collection and accountability of IT assets such as laptops, PCs, smartphones, and printers from departing staff.The role involves regular interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders including internal and external customers, client IT teams, Railway UK IT management and leadership, as well as third-party suppliers and partners. This provides an excellent opportunity to develop your communication skills and build strong professional networks.
