Access Planner - Brentwood/ Dartford/ Stratford 1

Purpose of the Role
Participates in all the services necessary for the smooth running of the company. Is in contact with the company's employees, internal departments and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a comprehensive reporting system to monitor safety, health & environmental and key business performance data.
- Review data inputs from various sources, e.g Accident/Incident data, internal assurance inspections and audits, and any actions arising.
- Manage the provision of information and analytical support and maintain records of individual safety, health & environment events, risk assessments and relevant control measures.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports as requested, ensuring at all times that new reports are tested and cross checked for accuracy e.g. data spread sheets with environmental and safety data.
- Manage the input of accidents and incidents into the safety & environmental management information system and arrange for them to be categorised, investigated, reported and concluded in accordance with legislation and corporate standards.
- Oversee implementation of recommendations derived from local investigations, tracking and reporting progress in an appropriate format within appropriate timescales, liaising with Operational Teams and external organisations.
- Review daily CARL data, assisting suppliers and the safety team and the wider business to understand the data and best manage improvements.
- Manage the production of safety, health & environment reports and performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain Performance Dashboards with an emphasis on Safety & Sustainability.
- Support the Planning and Resource Team with undertaking audits and site inspections.
- Submit data to the HSE
- Produce presentations and other media as required.
- Be flexible and adaptive to perform any other task as per business need
Person Specification
- Good understanding of rules, regulations and operating instructions
- Good communications skills, written and verbal
- Logical thinker, numerate and with good analytical skills
- Good working knowledge and experience in use of computer systems for office processes (i.e. Power BI, Excel, Powerpoint, database etc)
- Practical ability to use instruments of measurement
- A full driving licence - is essential as the role involves travel to different locations.
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.
- Takes ownership and accountability for tasks and sees through to successful completion.
- Experience of technical report writing and ability to draft technical reports under guidance to an acceptable technical quality
- The following qualities/experience are desirable but not essential:
NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate (or equivalent professional/ educational qualification), OR, IEMA Membership (or equivalent professional body) - Further Education (e.g. NVQ, HND, BSc etc) qualified in any of the following: engineering, physical or applied science, business or commerce.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes of practice and industry standards and have broad understanding of environmental legislation.
- Good communicator and able to influence others investigation and auditing techniques.
