Opportunity Overview

Job title: Senior Procurement Engineer  
Line Manager: Procurement Manager  

Core Functions-Tasks / Key Results Expected:  
- Adapt and implement Colas Rail Egypt's purchasing policy to meet customer needs.  
- Execute and monitor the purchasing process for local and, in specific cases, purchases abroad under supervision.  
- Contribute to planning and executing Purchasing Kick-off meetings.  
- Manage Supplier sourcing, pre-qualification, and evaluation.  
- Prepare RFQ and consult with selected suppliers.  
- Analyze offers and report to hierarchy, including negotiation objectives.  
- Propose purchasing recommendations based on TCO analysis to hierarchy and Project management.  
- Negotiate with suppliers, monitor exchanges, and update TCOs.  
- Ensure acknowledgment of receipt of orders.  
- Edit orders in purchasing software and ensure logistics, administrative, and contractual follow-up with hierarchy, project management, and support services.  
- Assist in costing tenders by consulting suppliers or providing price estimates.  
- Define application terms of Framework Contracts with project management, detected subjects and suppliers for "Framework Contract" actions.  
- Contribute to the overall and commodity roadmaps for Colas Rail Egypt.  
- Promote Purchasing actions within the organization.  
- Participate in training activities for colleagues and partners' employees.  
- Support logistics/customs clearance with regular follow-up and reporting to hierarchy and Project Management.  
- Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure goods reception on purchasing software.  
- Participate in events and exhibitions to expand the supplier network.  
- Coach newly hired employees as needed.

Qualifications/Experience required:  
- Education: Engineering with experience in Purchasing.  
- Experience: 4 to 6 years.  
- Language Requirements: Must be proficient in Arabic and English; French is a plus.
