Opportunity Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptional Subsystem RAMS Manager with specialized expertise in the rail and metro industry to lead the reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS) activities for critical subsystems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and performance of key subsystems within our rail and metro projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement RAMS plans and objectives for specific subsystems, overseeing the reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
  2. Lead the safety integrity level (SIL) determination process for safety-critical subsystems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Conduct fault tree analysis, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability modeling to identify potential failure modes and their impact on subsystem performance.
  4. Collaborate with system engineers and project teams to ensure that RAMS requirements are integrated into the subsystem design, development, and verification processes.
  5. Participate in safety reviews, hazard analysis, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety risks associated with subsystem operations.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in RAMS engineering and management within the rail and metro industry, with a focus on critical subsystems and safety-critical standards.
  3. Proven track record of leading RAMS activities for complex subsystems in rail or metro projects, demonstrating expertise in reliability analysis, safety assessments, and SIL determination.
  4. Strong understanding of RAMS standards and regulations specific to the rail and metro industry, such as EN 50126, CENELEC, and industry-specific safety standards.
  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

  1. Professional certification in reliability engineering or safety engineering (e.g., CRE, CSEP).
  2. Familiarity with RAMS tools and software for reliability prediction, FMEA, fault tree analysis, and SIL determination (e.g., Isograph, Relex, PHA-Pro).
  3. Experience with RAMS demonstration and verification activities, including reliability testing, failure analysis, and safety case development.
  4. Knowledge of system safety lifecycle management and RAMS integration with system engineering processes.
  5. Familiarity with industry-specific technologies and systems, such as signaling systems, train control, and communication-based train control (CBTC) systems.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to lead our RAMS efforts for critical subsystems and contribute to the safety and reliability of our rail and metro projects. If you are ready to take on this impactful role, we encourage you to apply and become an integral part of our innovative team.
