As a Mechanic, You Will:

  • Service all company vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair light vehicles, heavy trucks, heavy equipment, including hydraulics, electrical and heavy power trains
  • Diagnose vehicle/equipment failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts, as necessary
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Perform service calls and emergency on-road/off-site repairs
  • Complete daily service documentation
  • Maintain and upkeep shop floor, supplies and organization systems; maintain high level of housekeeping
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established company policies and procedures

What You'll Bring:

  • Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic or Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
  • Third or fourth-year Apprentices will be considered
  • Valid Class 5 licence required, Class 1 or 3 licence considered an asset
  • Diagnostic software experience considered an asset
  • Roadside service experience considered an asset
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify fault codes
  • Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Own set of tools
  • Superb technical knowledge
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
  • Travel is required
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills and team spirit
