Site Supervisor/Agent

Purpose of the Role

The Site Foreman will be homebased but reports into the Contract Manager in our Specialist Surface Treatment team located in Grantham. You will provide efficient delivery of all secured contracts ensuring management of key client expectations / contracts whilst ensuring compliance with all Quality procedures and safe working practices. The Foreman will Undertake all works to the highest possible Health, Safety and environmental standards and act within financial authorities, in respect of contract revenue and expenditure.

Main Responsibilities

The Foreman will effectively supervise ongoing carriageway and footway contracts (directing employees and sub-contractors) to ensure contract compliance and maximum return. You will co-ordinate and control manpower, vehicles, and plant materials and regularly review contracts to ensure budgeted margins are achieved and discuss any variances with the Contracts Manager.

As Foreman you will also carry out and agree final measures with clients prior to the submission of invoices and carry out accurate site inspections prior to the submission of tenders/quotations. You will undertake regular review of weekly wages/bonuses, output, vehicle defects reports and tachographs and ensure compliance with Chapter 8 road works signing. You will carry out the minimum numbers of, MSO’s (Management Safety Observations) as laid down by line management, ensure compliance with the Company’s financial authorities and monitor remedial works and identify and eliminate causes of failure.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will hold a professional qualification min NVQ3 Highway Maintenance or ONC with an understanding of Surface Treatments. You will be experienced in managing operatives and plant and material resources in a similar role and hold a full driving licence. The successful Foreman will have previously worked to company Safety, Environment and Quality standards and COSHH regulations and have the ability to communicate this to the workforce.
