Purpose of the role

 

Colas Ltd. are looking for an ITS Stores Supervisor (Integrated Transport Systems) to be based at our Grantham depot, NG31 7LG. Reporting to the ITS Contracts and Repairs Manager, you will support the ITS operational teams at Grantham by providing an effective and efficient warehouse facilities. You will manage and record all the stock movement at the warehouses both goods in/out. Ensuring the various inventories are manged and up to date. Housekeeping and ensuring all works are carried out according to the company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality policies.

Main Responsibilities

 

As a Stores Supervisor your day to day will include controlling materials, movements of, into/out of/within the warehouse, including keeping all paper and electronic systems up to date, Identifying improvement opportunities and development areas within the stores process, booking out stores stock and equipment to contracts, sending equipment for repair to the relevant suppliers ensuring process is followed and arranging transport and logistics for deliveries and collections as required. Within this role, you will have or gain a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of all equipment and systems needs being worked within the ITS Business Unit at Grantham. Arranging for the repair or replacement of faulty tooling, ensuring that all appropriate paperwork is completed, and records of the repair/replacement are maintained will be a crucial part to the role. You will ensure that the ITS Teams at Grantham are compliant with all Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) by maintaining appropriate and accurate records. Keep Warehouse, yard and front of the building clean and to carry out other appropriate ad-hoc warehouse duties as assigned by your line manager. Ensuring that all works are carried out in line with company Health and Safety Environment, Quality polices.

Ideal Candidate

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years' experience working within a stock control environment. You will proficient in using Microsoft software packages (excel etc.), knowledge of Stores Accounting software is desirable. You will have experience in assessing, developing, and implementing stock control systems with the ability to advise and, influence improvements within a business. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
