Logistics Officer
Mission
Assist in overseeing the end-to-end logistics for all offshore equipment ordered for the project, from arrival monitoring to final delivery at the warehouse.
Assist in managing the customs clearance process by preparing and submitting required Bureau of Customs (BOC) documentation in coordination with the third-party Customs Brokerage Company.
Coordinate transportation of customs-released equipment to ensure its safe and timely delivery to the designated warehouse.
Act as back-up point of contact for external logistics vendors, specifically the Customs Brokerage and Trucking Companies.
Main Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the following:
Logistics & Tracking
- Track and monitor the movement of shipment.
- Maintain the logistics monitoring tool and provide required status reports to the Logistics Manager.
Customs and Compliance
- Coordinate necessary documentation with suppliers and shipping lines for Bureau of Customs (BOC) clearance.
- Manage the Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), liaising with them and various agencies to ensure all required documentation is prepared for the timely release of equipment.
Transportation and Delivery
- Assist the Logistics Manager in managing the Trucking Company and oversee the safe loading, unloading, and subsequent safe and timely delivery of released equipment to the warehouse.
Risk and Claims Management
- Coordinate and process insurance claims related to equipment delivery, working closely with the Logistics Manager and the Legal and Contracts Team.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree of any related field
- Formal training or professional certification in Logistics (e.g., CSCMP's SCPro, APICS's CLTD, or similar credentials) is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of customs clearance management, advanced negotiation strategies, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing procurement software and standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Commitment to continuous professional development in the latest procurement and logistics best practices.
- Logistics Expertise: Proven experience in managing and executing end-to-end logistics processes, including a strong familiarity with customs clearance and releasing management.
- Global Experience: Experience operating within an international or intercultural work environment.
- Supplier Relations: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships coupled with advanced negotiation skills.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Solid knowledge of relevant procurement and logistics regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Systems Proficiency: High-level proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and coordination skills necessary to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Legal).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to risk management, cost optimization, and improving supply chain efficiency.
- Core Concepts: Foundational understanding of supply chain logistics principles.
