Trackwork Construction Manager
Mission
The Construction Manager oversees the entire trackworks construction and logistics process, ensuring successful completion within the agreed timeline and forecasted resources. This role involves:
· Comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of all activities related to logistics, installation, and construction.
· Coordination with third-party contractors, system construction teams, and subsystems construction teams.
· Ensure proper coordination with trackwork design & quality teams.
· Ensuring all planned and performed works comply with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies mandated by the group.
Main Responsibilities
1. Team Management and Planning
Manage construction team and subcontractors. Develop and maintain construction plans, organization, recruitment, subcontractor scopes, Method Statements, material logistics, execution plans, schedules, and reviews.
2. Coordination
Coordinate with design, quality, procurement, and logistics teams for updated docs, technical issues, ITPs, material deliveries, site handovers, and safe work practices per risk assessments and HSE guidelines.
3. Plant & Tools
List major machinery and tools with usage timelines. Identify minor tools and consumables needed. Coordinate with Plant & Maintenance teams for tagging, servicing, and equipment readiness.
Profile
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil/mechanical Engineer, Master degree is a plus.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Project design experience in trackwork, interfaces at least 15 years, construction experience is a plus.
- Trackwork design & alignment experience is desirable advance at least intermediate knowledge.
- Full proficiency in English (verbal and written), French is a plus.
- AutoCAD, Civil 3D basic knowledge. Excel, Word & Power point, MS Project, strong knowledge.
