We are currently looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our Purchasing team at the Terus head office located in Surrey, British Columbia.  The incumbent will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working directly with head office and the operations team.

You are well versed in the field of purchasing.  You possess between 2 to 3 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry.  You are a team player paired with strong communication skills and business expertise.  You are customer service oriented and have strong data entry skills.

 

The principal duties will consist of the following:

  • Entering purchase orders ensuring that coding and descriptions are accurate.
  • Following up with vendors to ensure orders are received and delivery dates are accurate.
  • Liaise with A/P to reconcile invoices.
  • Follow proper purchasing policies and procedures that will support the operations while maintaining the integrity of the purchasing function.
  • Maintain purchasing files

 

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Experience with JDE accounting software an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Able to work well in a fast paced, collaborative and team-based environment.
