We are currently looking for a Purchasing Manager to join our Finance team at the Terus head office located in Surrey, British Columbia.  The incumbent will be reporting to the Vice president of Finance and working directly with Accounting and Operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Duties/Tasks
    • Supervise Purchasing team including providing feedback, training, setting team goals and expectations
    • Oversee all purchasing within the entire group of Terus companies.
    • Will assist in developing purchasing polices and purchasing procedures for local operations to follow.
    • Will oversee most of the buying and negotiation of annual or long-term supply contracts.
    • Will assist in procurement requests from construction and manufacturing divisions on sourcing project materials and products.
    • Will ensure department will work closely with the Accounts Payable department to resolve invoicing issues.
    • Completion and setup of new vendor credit applications
    • Will collaborate with the Operations Controller in developing an efficient Material Requisition system to work with the JDE PO system. 
    • Maintain and identify order quantities to manage inventory costs
    • Provide backup to Purchasing team when required

  • This person will have developed skills and knowledge, with post-secondary education in purchasing
  • At least 3 years Industry experience and supervising a team
