ACP Applied Products, a division of Canadian Road Builders Inc., is a dynamic company of experienced engineers, applied product installers and sales staff, all with a firm commitment to quality in products and services in regard of pavement preservation and performance product.  

The Construction Division offers services to the road construction/road maintenance industry that include: installation of roadside barriers (guardrail and high tension cable barrier), permanent and temporary highway sign installation, bridge deck waterproofing, crack sealing (hot pour/rout and seal and cold pour), spray patching, installation of roadside delineation devices, and temporary traffic control services. 

 

 

Job Summary

ACP’s Construction Division holds a strong focus as a subcontractor on tendered and negotiated work across Western Canada. We provide essential services to the road construction/maintenance industry. Our areas of specialization include: installation of roadside barriers including high tension cable barrier and guardrail, highway guide sign installation, bridge deck waterproofing and roadside delineation devices. We also provide highway surface and right of way maintenance such as spray patching, crack sealing, route and seal, and culvert repairs. Whether applied to road surfaces or bridge decks, bike trails or pedestrian crossings, our products and applications offer the optimal solution for all road maintenance and pavement preservation issue.

 

ACP is now looking for motivated Class 1 candidates to join our team for the upcoming season - beginning April 2022

 

A successful candidate will be a physically fit, hardworking individual who possesses strong awareness of work place and commercial transportations safety. Candidates will have experience as a Class 1 Driver, with ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions, and must be able to assist in other crew duties. All members of the crew are expected to undertake multiple tasks as required by the specific scope of work on a per project basis. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre/post trip inspections, while maintaining IFTA and NSC paperwork requirements.
  • Report mechanical deficiencies to foreman.
  • Obey all traffic, hauling, and load securement regulations.
  • Capable of driving and transporting various pieces of equipment.
  • Track fuel consumption and vehicle mileage. 
  • Must be willing to assist in general tasks as required by the crew on the specific project. 

Requirements

  • Previous road construction experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including overtime and seven days a week.
  • Willingness to travel and spend extended time away from home, including out of province work.
  • Class 1 driver's license and clean driver's abstract (minimum 5-year commercial).
  • Physically fit and compliant with company Drug/Alcohol policy.
