The Electrical Engineer position is within our Heavy Environmental Construction Region, where we are a leader in the water/wastewater treatment plant construction business in addition to our leading position with large, municipal pipe projects. Our projects also include Heavy and Highway, and site construction. We have the ability to perform large excavation, grading, drainage, bridges, structures, and electrical work.  Our experienced labor force can mobilize and successfully complete any project.

The primary function of a Electrical Engineer is to assist Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and other personnel in managing, scheduling, and purchasing for various types of construction projects.

Main Responsibilites

  • Participating in multiple projects involving electrical design of various energy efficiency measures
  • Conducting electrical cost estimation
  • Electrical load calculations
  • Value engineering
  • Field survey construction sites before and during construction phases as required
  • Communicate with field personnel on installation shop drawings
  • Regularly commute to field locations
  • Be a technical expert and provide advice to colleagues
  • Vetting equipment selection



Preference will be given to candidates having a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering. The candidate would have basic engineering including voltage drops, conduit sizing, cable derating, load calculations, and overcurrent protection. Preferred qualifications include general knowledge of computer software such as Auto CAD, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Primavera Project Planner, JDE, etc. Other requirements would include experience with project planning, scheduling, and estimating. The individual would have to have the ability to prepare subcontractor scopes of work, familiarity with pricing, purchasing, and preparation of purchase orders for materials and equipment, and the ability to read and understand drawings.
