Job Summar

The Mergers and Acquisitions Manager will work with the Mergers and Acquisitions VP as well as operational and financial managers to facilitate the identification, execution, and integration of acquisitions and divestitures, and support the delivery of the overall M&A strategy.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the end-to-end M&A process including deal sourcing, determination of strategic fit, business assessment, valuation, due diligence, contract negotiation, integration, and post-closing issue resolution. 
  • Coordinates the collection, validation, synthesis, and interpretation of data from confidential and public sources to assist in analysis. 
  • Builds analytical models and performs financial analysis to value acquisition opportunities, providing clear explanations and making well-founded recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Conducts due diligence to understand the target company’s business and legal practices, liabilities, financial standing, and intellectual property.
  • Support all aspects of the internal process for transaction assessment and approval, including the drafting of memos and presentations.
  • Develops and negotiates transactions and contracts.
  • Assists with integration of acquired companies 
  • Builds rapport internally across the organization and externally among the leaders of potential acquisitions, industry influencers, and other consultative entities, ensuring strong partnerships to deliver a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned. 
     

Education and Minimum Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical discipline or degree in Business Management
  • MBA preferred
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience in a related industry and/or field preferred
  • Some analytical experience preferred
  • Must have a detailed understanding of financial statement mechanics and business valuation theory

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
