Main Responsibilites

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Assist in the management of project(s) by means of cost management and analysis, scheduling, billings and project management. Assist in field and office engineering, administrative and technical duties.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES:
•    Assist Superintendent(s) with project operations, schedules and cost management
•    Analyze project(s) costs thru time sheets, weekly quantities, and weekly job cost reports
•    Assist with payables by researching and tracking materials
•    Produce monthly billing estimates for agency and subcontractors
•    Assist with the development of project(s) long term and short term schedule
•    Communicate with agency(s), superintendent(s), subcontractor(s), foremen, estimator(s)
•    Attend pre-job meetings with agencies/owners
•    Coordinate sub-contractor/suppliers to project schedule
•    Establish and maintain project quantities
•    Maintain up-dated project schedule
•    Resolve cost & claim issues and report results
•    Complete final pay quantities, claims, and closeout project

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
•    Self-Starter
•    Multi-tasking
•    Computer Skills: Excel, Word, JD Edwards, Heavy Bid, Heavy Job
•    Knowledge of Caltrans & Greenbook Specifications
•    Plan Reading
•    Driver License
•    4 year degree in Construction Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management 
•    Minimum two (2) years’ experience in road construction or related field (may be waived for entry level position)
•    Excellent math and communication skills
