Reeves Construction Company has an immediate opening for a Sr. Design Build Manager in our growing Design Build Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing Design Build Department, which includes project pursuits throughout the Southeast US.

This position plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated Design Build project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.


This position is based out of our Duncan, SC location and typically requires some periodic travel.



Main Responsibilities


RESPONSIBILITIES  (Include, but not limited to the following):

  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Must ensure that all work is done safely and that all policies and procedures of the company are followed.
  • Ensures the daily reporting of time, quantities and equipment usage are handled promptly and on schedule.
  • Must be able to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.




Required Qualifications, Skills & Competencies


  • 10 years’ experience in heavy highway civil construction design/build or equivalent experience. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in an industry-related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of all phases of Heavy Civil Site construction and/or Roadway Construction including earthwork, grading, utilities, concrete, erosion control and traffic control. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as with customers and subcontractors. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding jobsite productivity, quality procedures and safety initiatives.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Also have knowledge of Heavy Job software.
  • Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations. 
  • Ability to travel and work for extended periods of time on projects outside of office area.
  • Knowledge of web-based project management software tools for managing and tracking projects and tasks.
  • Must possess a current, valid Driver's License.
  • Knowledge of GPS grade control is critical.
  • Certifications in Worksite Traffic Control, Worksite Erosion Control and Worksite Utility Coordination are desirable.
