•    Review Contract documents, estimate, and project constructability
•    Build and maintain the project CPM schedule for the life of the project
•    Plan, organize and coordinate key field positions through operations department heads
•    Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy
•    Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
•    Communicate with Agency/Owner as to construction methods, issues, change orders and claims
•    Develop team concept with project supervision to review schedule, cost, crews, changes, etc.
•    Oversee project start-up and progress, all the way through project completion and final estimate
•    Review cost, fine tune or change operations
•    Communicate with crews and evaluate their suggestions
•    Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with owners, agencies, sub-contractors, and vendors


•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience on Cal Trans projects
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience estimating experience 
•    7 to 10 years supervising experience 
•    Multiple construction disciplines knowledge; including underground, concrete, asphalt and grading
•    Engineering degree and/or Civil Engineering license preferred
•    Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
•    Must have a thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
•    Superior communication and interpersonal tact, diplomacy, influence, etc. skills essential.
•    Ability to read and understanding contract documents
•    Computer knowledge: Word, Excel, JD Edwards Enterprise, Heavy Job, Heavy 
Bid, P3-P6
•    Valid California driver’s license, clean driving record
