The Contract Administrator position is located in State College, PA, a small, family friendly, college town dominated by the presence of University Park, the main campus for Pennsylvania State University (Penn State). 

The position will report to the Regional Manager of the Heavy & Environmental Construction Region. Key functions of the position will be leadership, communication, organization, document consolidation and audit and administration relating to manufacturing & construction contracts, purchase orders and bid documents.  There will also be an emphasis on company values, ethics, and safety.  This individual should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

Job Responsibilities (included but not limited to the following):

  • Maintain records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date
  • Track work history of all contracts
  • Responsible for administration relating to the complete life cycle of all contracts & purchase orders
  • Work with Estimating team on proposals
  • Review bid documents to ensure accuracy and prepare documents for execution
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices
  • Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion
  • Create regular status reports regarding progress on projects contracts
  • Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Follow up with outstanding contracts
  • Review and flag terms and conditions to be negotiated
  • Enter contracts and purchase orders into Oracle JD Edwards
  • Work cross functionally between operations, estimating, and accounting

Requirements:

  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers
  • High level of organization
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, organize and analyze data
  • Good interpersonal and teambuilding skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have adequate transportation to work
  • Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times
  • Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction
  • Experience with JDE and OnBase is preferred
