• Ensure that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of all personnel involved.
•    Provide leadership to ensure the Area fulfills its objectives in the terms of safety, quality, growth, asset utilization, employee/customer satisfaction, profitability, and work volume.
•    Develop and Track a comprehensive listing of bid opportunities.
•    Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and estimate & pricing requirements.
•    Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and customers about prospective work.
•    Coordinate with Estimating Manager to ensure an effective, accurate and streamlined bid process.
•    Research pricing for estimates based on historical and regional costs.
•    Research new bidding opportunities and newly advertised projects within geographical territory.
•    Oversee the planning and control to ensure projects are completed in accordance with design plans, specifications, budget and schedule.
•    Review contract agreements and ensure all contract obligations are met before project kickoff. 
•    Conduct weekly/monthly project reviews with Project Management (PM & PE) and Operations (Operations Manager & Superintendent) Teams to ensure project scope, time, costs and budgets are being achieved.
•    Oversee, navigate and resolve conflict disputes within projects. 
•    Review project plans and schedules with Project Managers to prioritize commitments, ensure timely completion of projects and resolve schedule conflicts.
•    Attend and participate in onsite meetings with clients, owners, representatives, staff, sub trades, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
•    Overall accountability for the operation and profitability for the Construction Activity for the Victorville Area.
•    Monitor and actively participate in managing Cash flow and Receivables.
•    Communicate with owners, consultants and the community using the best possible approach to develop and build relationships.
•    Accurately prepare construction & sales forecasts and budgets.
•    Monitor and Report performance against established objectives.
•    Improve Performance and ensure succession by selecting, coaching, developing and motivating all employees.
•    Comply, abide and promote Sully-Miller Contracting Company’s Code of Ethics at all times.
•    Maintain contact with Industry Organizations; CalAPA, AGC, SCCA

  • 15 years of progressive experience in the Civil Infrastructure or
  • PE in Civil Engineering with 10 years of progressive experience in project/operational management.
