Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/tech school training a plus
- Valid drivers’ license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
- 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience with aggregate processing (crushing) equipment and/or asphalt plant equipment
- Proficiency in operation of industrial and heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret signage and/or written instructions (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.)
- Solid mechanical skill related to industrial/plant equipment maintenance
- Basic to intermediate welding skill required. Able to perform bracing, welding, arc-welding and cutting tasks

This role is heavily centered around promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture, requiring the individual to actively support safety initiatives and adhere to company policies, procedures, and core values. Effective communication, both verbal and via company radio channels, is essential, along with a commitment to ethical conduct and workplace professionalism.
The position involves a range of manual and physical tasks to support plant operations and maintenance. The technician will work closely with plant operators, equipment operators, and drivers to ensure efficient task completion. Responsibilities include routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
Key duties also involve mechanical repair work, including removing, replacing, and repairing critical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, screens, and crushers. The role requires troubleshooting of hydraulic systems and completing repairs according to plant standards. Candidates must be able to disassemble machinery, determine causes of failure, and perform preventative and predictive maintenance based on collected data. In addition to mechanical work, the role includes welding and cutting responsibilities, with certification preferred. Operating mobile heavy equipment and company vehicles is also required for plant maintenance and related tasks. The technician is expected to support project work and perform additional duties as assigned, making this a diverse and hands-on maintenance role essential to plant functionality.
