Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and driver’s abstract
  • Basic computer knowledge and mathematical skills (tablet experience an asset)
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work well with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Heavy equipment experience (willing to train)
  • Ability to plan and organize job tasks on-site
  • Mechanically inclined, with the ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment (holders and teeth)
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime; travel is required
  • Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 23 kg
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment in a safe and effective manner

Day in the Life

As a Pulverizer Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and safely operating the pulverizing machine while maintaining accurate records of pulverized areas. You will communicate daily with the Supervisor, ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, and oversee vehicle inspections and site cleanliness. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the Pulverizer equipment, ordering fuel deliveries, and organizing float requirements.

This is a seasonal summer job starting from end of May till end of October.
