Compensation

$125,000- $165,000

Job Summary

The senior Estimator will be responsible for providing and/or coordinating full estimating services on large, complex work, and all types of contracts.  

Main Responsibilities

  • Ability to close out all bids assigned to them as well as support estimating team to close bids and submit responsive proposals
  • Ability to prepare bid items assignments by discipline for coordination with supporting estimators
  • Ability to troubleshoot budgets for proper creation in management and accounting system
  • Identify risks and opportunities on the jobs assigned to them
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Prepare cost estimates/qualifications for contract compliance
  • Review and submit all bid questions for jobs assigned to them
  • Support Chief Estimator by identifying bid opportunities within their respective discipline
  • Train and support the development of the department

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Technology or an equivalent combination technical training and/or related experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of previous experience in estimating cost controls and/or engineering related experience
  • Clean driving record

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, JD Edwards, Heavy Bid/Heaving Job estimating software
  • Strong tendency to take initiative
