The Procurement Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to support the company’s construction projects, ensuring the sourcing of reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors based on quality, cost, and performance. The role oversees the end-to-end procurement cycle—from requisition to delivery—while negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and company standards. By collaborating closely with project managers and key stakeholders, the specialist identifies procurement needs, conducts market research, and maintains accurate records to drive efficiency. Additionally, the role monitors supplier performance and cultivates long-term partnerships to secure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to support the company's construction projects.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, vendors, and contractors based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to obtain the best value for the company.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate placement of purchase orders.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor information.
- Monitor and control procurement budgets to maximize cost-effectiveness and minimize financial risks.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating long-term agreements to secure a stable supply chain.
Qualification and Experience Required

Education: |
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering or business administration. |
|
Experience: |
2+ years’ experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in the construction industry. Highly organized and detail oriented. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to delegate Analytical mind Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions quickly. Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. |

Language Requirements: |
Arabic & English are a must, French is a plus. |
