Job Title: Power Supply Draftsman
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Power Supply Manager

Summary: The Power Supply Draftsman at Colas Rail-Egypt will be responsible for preparing and coordinating accurate, error-free building and infrastructure system models and drawings, utilizing Revit and AutoCAD software. The individual will work within a multidisciplinary team to support the construction of underground metro systems, ensuring quality and standardization across all outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Model Preparation:

   • Develop and prepare models for coordination and drafting purposes.
   • Ensure models are ready for integration and collaboration with other project teams.

2. Revit Sheets Drafting:

   • Perform detailed drafting on Revit sheets, including annotation and presentation.
   • Create Revit annotation families and libraries.

3. Standardization of Drawings:

   • Standardize composite drawing templates for production and extraction concerning buildings, infrastructure-civil, and system designs.
   • Maintain consistency in drawing standards and practices.

4. Knowledge Sharing:

   • Lead and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives within the project team.
   • Engage in continuous learning and share best practices with colleagues.

5. Partnerships and Communication:

   • Build and maintain a professional network of contacts.
   • Establish and manage effective communication channels with both internal and external partners to facilitate seamless project execution and minimize conflicts.

6. Research and Innovation:

   • Generate new ideas and propose innovative approaches for improving business processes.
   • Search for best practices and implement more effective ways of carrying out tasks.

7. Technical Expertise:

   • Apply fundamental knowledge of Colas Rail-Egypt’s core business and policies.
   • Utilize information technology tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, effectively in all job functions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience:

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with proven experience as a Power Supply Draftsman.
  • Proficiency in PS software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and building systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and error-free drawings.

Language Requirements:

• Proficiency in Arabic and English is required; knowledge of French is a plus.
