Job Title: Senior Operations and Maintenance Engineer
Company: Colas Rail Egypt
Location: Abo Qir, Alex Project – Office in Sheraton
Industry: Railway

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily operations and maintenance activities within the Abo Qir railway project.

• Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance of railway systems, equipment, and infrastructure.

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

• Monitor performance indicators, analyze data, and recommend improvements to enhance system availability.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with technical standards and operational excellence.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

• Support reporting requirements and liaise with stakeholders to address operational challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

• 10 to 15 years of proven experience in railway operations and maintenance, with at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of railway systems, safety regulations, and international standards.

• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and relevant engineering software.

• Ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
