Job Summary

The Loader Operator is a full-time, seasonal position, responsible for loading asphalt plant feeder bins with aggregate for the production of asphalt for paving crews.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Certifications    
•    Valid driver’s license (Class 5).
•    Own transportation. 
    
Work Experience    
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience. 
    

Technical Skills
• Ability to operate 980 Cat loader.
• Ability to load 400 tonnes of aggregate an hour. 
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions  

• Overtime as required.
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, fumes, odors, oil, asphalt, and toxic and flammable substances.
• Required to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending, and strenuous movements. 
• Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
• Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
• Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
• Must comply with all company policies.
