Delta Companies Inc., with locations in Missouri, Illinois, and Arkansas is a leader in infrastructure construction and maintenance, has an opening for an Area Aggregate Manager based in Cape Girardeau, MO. Through subordinate plant superintendents and managers, the Area Aggregates Manager directs production operations for a several aggregate producing facilities in Missouri and Illinois. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Promotes and enforces a safety culture that is in line with Delta’s initiative as well as company, state, federal safety and environmental policies and regulations; Develop operations plan and direct overall activities to assist in achieving total aggregate objectives.  Responsible for budgeting, production planning, staffing, and inventory levels.  Reviews and tracks key performance indicators to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.


Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial, and operational reports to determine requirements of increasing profits, for assigned facilities.  Trains and develops subordinate personnel and approves personnel actions and pay changes for assigned area.  Collaborates with sales team to analyze market opportunities and challenges, develop sales forecast and pricing improvements.


Other Requirements Include:
Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required including working nights and weekends when necessary. Must maintain strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures and work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.


Qualifications:
Knowledge in mining and processing of aggregates. A Bachelor’s of Science in Mining Engineering or equivalent and ten or more years of supervisory experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced understanding of production methods, processes and supervision of large groups essential. Experience with AggFlow plant modeling software, StonemontQC quality control management, and JWS ticketing systems is a plus.
