Job Summary:
Assists with development and implementation of visually compelling and creative video, photo, and communications content that enhances business and employment branding initiatives.
Simon’s internship program is designed to provide first-hand exposure to industry operations, as well as 1:1 mentorship and networking opportunities to students in order to supplement college educational programs in the areas of business, engineering, and construction management. Students in the program have the opportunity to work in various administrative and operational areas, contribute to company goals through completion of focused project work, and apply concepts learned in the classroom to business operations.
Main Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with HR, IT, functional and operations leadership teams to brainstorm and conceptualize video and photographic content that aligns with our branding strategy
• Plan and manage content collection, creation, and editing schedule to accommodate field visits, employee interviews, and other events
• Capture high-quality videos and images that showcase our workplace culture, team activities, and company events
• Edit and produce engaging video and photographic content for social media, website, and promotional materials
• Organize and maintain a library of multimedia files and marketing assets for easy access
• Assist in the planning and execution of photo shoots and video projects, ensuring timely delivery of content
• Support the overall marketing efforts by contributing to campaign ideas and content distribution strategies
• Assist in development of communications content and other branded materials
• Stay updated on industry trends in visual content creation and incorporate innovative techniques into your work
• Meet regularly with assigned mentor to discuss ideas, navigate challenges, and gain insight
• Complete capstone project/presentation to be shared with Company leadership at the end of the internship
Education:
• Currently enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a relevant degree program, including digital media, film, photography, marketing, communications, or related field
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history required
Skills:
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photo editing tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom)
• Graphic design skills a plus
• Solid understanding of branding and marketing principles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Physical Requirements:
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company safety guidelines
• Occasionally required to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle and manipulate objects, write, use a keyboard and/or mobile device
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) in order to exchange information with others
• Regularly required to perform tasks requiring visual acuity
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly required to Stand/work on feet for long periods, and walk across uneven terrain at job sites
• Regularly required to sit for long periods in a vehicle or at a desk using a computer
• Some work near heavy equipment and machinery
• Frequent exposure to typical construction site conditions, including dust and loud noise, and weather
