LAVIS CONTRACTING | Licensed Truck and Heavy Equipment Technician (310T)

Location: Clinton, ON
As a Technician, You Will:
- Service all company vehicles and equipment
- Diagnose and repair light vehicles, heavy trucks, heavy equipment, including hydraulics, electrical and heavy power train, after treatment diagnostics
- Diagnose vehicle/equipment failures, disassemble, repair and reassemble parts, as necessary
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
- Perform service calls and emergency on-road/off-site repairs
- Complete daily service documentation
- Maintain and upkeep shop floor, supplies and organization systems; maintain high level of housekeeping
- Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance
- Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established company policies and procedures
What You'll Bring:
- 310S Certification, 310T Certification, OR commitment to apprentice for a 310T certification with company financial assistance
- Third or fourth-year Apprentices will be considered
- Red Seal Truck and Transport Mechanic or Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
- Valid Class 5 licence required
- Diagnostic software experience considered an asset
- Class 1 or 3 licence considered an asset
- Roadside service experience considered an asset
- Ability to diagnose and rectify fault codes
- Experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems
- Own set of tools
- Superb technical knowledge
- Willingness to take on new challenges
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Travel is required
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, good communication skills and team spirit
