Quality Control Field Technician, Student (8 Months)

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines

Conduct laboratory and field tests in compliance with prevailing standards and procedures

Perform field quality control testing (material sampling, compaction & coring)

Examine the samples provided, document and advise on any discrepancies on tests or field reports

Ensure that measuring equipment is calibrated

Participate in activities related to improvement of the quality system

Other duties as required
Requirements:
-
Currently a student in a civil engineering or related technical field program considered an asset
-
Background of aggregate use in road building, concrete and asphalt production
-
Effective written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to work with minimal supervision
-
Ability to perform in a highly functional team environment

Basic Computer and Microsoft Office skills
-
Maintain G class Driverâs License with clean Driverâs Abstract

Ability to perform manual labour and lift up to 25 kilograms
-
Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions

Willingness to work days, nights and weekend shifts as assigned
