Construction Division
Base: Stony Plain, AB
Position: Labourer, Full-time Seasonal
Start Date: This position has an anticipated start date of May 1, 2023, (weather dependent)
Main Responsibilities
This position is part of the ACP Applied Products Construction Division. We are based in Stony Plain (30 minutes west of Edmonton) and may require working out of town approximately 90% of the time, as well as occasional night shifts. As a Foreman you will be responsible to comply with safe work procedures and practices while you lead a team in the execution of project deliverables. Versatility, flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide supervision, guidance, and motivation to employees to execute the requirements of each project.

Requirements
- Approximately 1-5 years previous experience in a similar role. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience installing guardrail and cable barrier
- Previous supervisory experience is required
- Must successfully complete drug and alcohol and fit test. *Note: This includes the use of marijuana, medical or non. As this is a safety sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy in place for cannabis use
- Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License is required
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform manual labour (ability to lift up to 40kg/90lbs)
- Willing to work out of town (Work in AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT & MB)
- Willing to work night shifts if required
- Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset
- Ability to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
- Ability to work overtime hours
Work Schedule
Our work schedule is typically 6 days on and 1 day off each week. ACP Applied Products is a federally registered motor carrier, and as such follows the National Safety Code (NSC) Commercial Vehicle Standards, including the Hours of Service Regulations, which allows for 70 hours of work in a 7 day cycle.
Total Compensation
- Starting wage is dependent on experience, retroactive wage increases may be applicable after candidate demonstrates qualifications ($30 - $44 / hr)
