Main Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with local teams, review division CAPEX priorities and define the CAPEX priorities for N.P.A.
  • Responsible for developing a 3 to 10-year CAPEX plan budget.
  • Accountable for delivering an appropriate return as measured by margin on internal equipment recovery.
  • Calculate and publish internal equipment recovery rates (“Equipment Rates”) and charge out policies for all types and classes of equipment charged to internal customers.
  • Oversee the development of internal budgets for shop and maintenance facilities.
  • Meets all financial review dates, report submission and corporate directed programs.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate finance teams to maintain inventory and ensure correct accounting procedures are adhered to.
  • Support local teams to analyze, procure, execute, and start-up of large investment projects.
  • Establish and manage current and future service agreements with clients.
  • Provide expert advice, leadership, guidance, and direction related to the development of divisional procurement, and contract strategies.
  • Establish an accountability framework, review contracts to recommend process improvements, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Responsible for recommendations regarding rental agreements of equipment or property to increase efficiency and services of operations.
  • Responsible for investment orders for both equipment and aggregate capital in conjunction with supplier negotiations for rentals.
  • Accountable for operational reporting metrics and implementing best in class operational processes to maximize overall performance of equipment and shop activities.
  • Provide oversight for comprehensive asset lifecycle management including acquisition, maintenance and repair, upgrades and improvements, and disposition for all strategic operational facility, plant, construction equipment, and vehicle and transportation equipment used in business activities.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in related engineering fields, blue seal, or any related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Experience in equipment and shop activities with exposure to capex and opex planning. 
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of running business with P&L responsibilities.
  • A strong work ethic and team focused approach which is “hands on”.
  • Advanced communication skills (oral, written, and technical).
  • Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office- Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • PMP Certification an asset.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
