Job Summary
As a member of the reclamation and/or aggregate crew, the equipment operator is expected to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of mobile equipment. Activities include completing pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and operating equipment while completing site related reclamation, production, and sales activities. As a member of the team, the equipment operator may be required to assist with maintenance, repair, operations, and housekeeping around the plant as requested by Reclamation Superintendent or Aggregate Manager. Equipment includes: Loader, Dozer, Blade, Excavator, Rubber Tire Dozer.
Main Responsibilities
UNION POSITION
- Inspect wear Items on equipment & report as needed to shop, foreman, and management
- Ensure areas under your scope of responsibility remain in environmental compliance and complete any needed environmental reports
- Ensure fill is placed in accordance with Fill Operating Plan (FOP) and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure site remains compliant with all MSHA, OSHA and EPA standards
- Other duties as outlined by Aggregate Manager/Reclamation Superintendent
Skills
- 3-5 years mobile equipment operational experience
- Must be able to operate machine with little or no supervision
- Must be able to read grade stakes and carry a grade
- Understands MSHA and OSHA regulations
- Must have a strong, team oriented work ethic with strong focus on safety and environmental compliance
