Join Barrett Paving Materials' dynamic internship program, that is crafted to educate our interns about various aspects of Quality Assurance/Quality Control in the aggregate, construction and manufacturing business; this paid internship spans from May to August, facilitating hands-on experience in QA/QC.
The internship program provides a unique opportunity for students to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world experience in Quality Control. As the industry faces an increasing demand for qualified professionals, our aim is to attract top-tier candidates and contribute to the development of future leaders.
Compensation- $20/hour
Duration- June through August 2025
Main Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to conduct testing, gradation, and quality control of aggregate, asphalt, and ready-mix products.

Inspect products for quality, promptly identifying and addressing any issues.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of daily test results.

Analyze test results to identify and resolve nonconformities with product specifications.

Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving quality control processes.

Uphold the company's safety culture, by actively supporting safety initiatives.
Education
Currently enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s degree program, such as: Civil Engineering, Geology or equivalent.
Skills

Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform mathematical calculations.

Effective problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities.

Willingness to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
