Overall responsibility for construction of paving projects from low bid through job closeout and final billing. Responsible for the management and performance of all crews that are directly assigned, or otherwise working on assigned projects. Assists in planning the paving work for the creation of the budget and project schedule.



- Short term and long term scheduling of crews

- Maintain quality workmanship

- Implement and execute training systems

- Construct paving projects within specified budget

- Plan, staff, and supervise paving projects – includes determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, schedule, and sub-contractors

- Responsible for implementation and accountability of all company policies at the field level

- Monitor compliance with company safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented

- Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required

- Supervise direct reports including foremen, lead men and all field crews

- Review and approve all paperwork from the field

- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with owners, agencies, sub-contractors, and vendors

- Ensure a safe project site and work environment



- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising construction operations

- A valid drivers license

- A good DMV record

- Education and experience include four year engineering, construction management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and or experience

- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise large groups essential
