Job Summary

Plan, direct and supervise quality control functions for aggregate manufacturing and hot mix asphalt production as established by Company policy.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel including personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, development/approval of in-house training, etc.
  • Act as liaison with owner, regulatory agencies, subcontractors and/or internal departments on quality related matters as required
  • Ensure that company quality control standards are efficiently implemented
  • Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of non-compliance
  • Perform activities such as audits, preparation of company standards and notification to management of quality problems
  • Ability to present information to large groups and professionally respond to questions

Education & Requirements

  • 4 year degree in relevant field
  • 6 years quality control/quality assurance experience or equivalent
  • Detailed working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/quality control activities
  • Construction and construction materials experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, external and internal policies and guidelines, and or regulations.
  • Proven ability to supervise personnel.
