Miller Maintenance proudly provides maintenance services on Maintenance Contracts for the Ministry of Transportation throughout Ontario. Our leadership in the Ontario road and highway maintenance industry is based on our commitment to continuous improvement through education, innovation, safety, and training. 

Qualifications:

  • G license and clean abstract/CVOR 
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience with general equipment maintenance and operation of small tools and heavy equipment considered an asset
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions

Day in the Life

As a General Labourer, you work closely with your team under the guidance of the Patrol Supervisor to maintain and repair highways, ensuring they meet contract standards. Your day involves completing tasks like debris removal, pothole repairs, installing signs, washing bridges, removing snow and stockpiling salt—all while promoting a safety-first culture in line with HSE policies.

You conduct daily equipment checks, keep tools and work areas clean, and maintain accurate records of hours and fuel. You may also perform minor equipment repairs and assist with general housekeeping. Flexibility is key, as you may be assigned additional duties to support the team and keep our highways safe and reliable.
