Job Summary
Midland Asphalt Materials Inc is looking for an Asphalt Terminal Logistics Supervisor based out of our Lyons, NY location. This is a salaried role that starting at $70,200.
Main Responsibilities
- Arrange and schedule trucking and personnel for inbound and outbound loads of asphalt
- Manage asphalt commitments
- Communicate with customers and plant daily for load inventories
- Manage asphalt rail cars including releasing, documentation, and communications for inbound and outbound loads
- Manage payroll for assigned employees
- Manage year-end-reviews for assigned employees
- Manage trucking for warm mix additives
- Take over trucking packets
- Train plant foreperson until competent
- Other duties as assigned by the Multiple Plants Manager
Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Mechanical experience a plus
- Must be able to work some weekends and long hours during the summer months
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to write and communicate complex information in an easily comprehensible manner.
- Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented
- Experience with all Microsoft Applications
- Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
- Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
