Mission

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction and installation works carried out on-site comply with the company’s quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role supports the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects by implementing quality assurance and control processes, conducting inspections, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, and ensuring that all documentation and reports are complete and accurate. The QAQC Engineer plays a critical role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and compliance throughout all project phases.

Main Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to the following: 

  • Responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) of the works in accordance with the approved plans and specifications
  • Ensures that all works are executed in accordance with the Quality System developed for the project
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements (MSTs), including associated quality documentation such as plan, quality manuals, checklists, and submittal logs.
  • Maintain and manage project quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective actions
  • Ensures that all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and passed the required testing
  • Inspect, verify and validate that all incoming construction materials and goods delivered to the job site comply with the approved material submittals, project specifications, and relevant standards prior to acceptance and use in construction.
  • Conducts inspection on all construction works performed on a continual basis for compliance with the approved drawings, MST, ITP and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors on quality-related matters Provide quality-related technical support to site teams
  • Conduct quality training and awareness programs for staff and subcontractors
  • Knowledgeable on process review and documentation flowcharting.

Profile

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience of the same capacity.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable industry standards
  • Familiarity with construction codes and standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ACI, AWS, etc.)
  • Experience in material inspection, site inspection, and document control-Knowledgeable in preparing checklists, quality reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in preparing Method Statements (MST) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
  • Background in Quality Auditing or a solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • DPWH accredited Material Engineer 1 or Material Engineer 2 
  • High-level decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be flexible, dedicated to work, competitive, and a good team player
  • Proficient in MS Office and quality management tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
