What Does a Corporate Receptionist Do?

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the President, this position is responsible for the daily operation of Reception at the Miller Paving Limited Corporate Head Office and providing administrative support to the management team.  The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support while maintaining a professional and friendly disposition.

As a Corporate Receptionist, You Will:

  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, such as photocopying, faxing, scanning documents, binder preparation and scheduling meetings when required
  • Accept and distribute deliveries; manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
  • Update general calendar information and maintain company announcement database
  • Answer main phone system promptly, redirect calls, and handle inquiries with tact and diligence
  • Maintain a clean and organized working station and by extension of that ensure main boardroom is tidy, organized, and ready before and after each meeting takes place
  • Manage and organize boardroom bookings
  • Ensure all visitors sign in at reception, are met by the appropriate staff member and guests follow safety protocols
  • Meet & greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Special projects, data entry and other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • Previous administrative experience an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Detail oriented with strong ability to adapt and multi-task
  • Able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, yet professional demeanor
