Summary

Central Construction is seeking a skilled Dispatch & Logistics Manager to oversee haulage operations across our Heavy Civil, GTA Paving, Georgian Paving, and Brennan Port Colbourne Groups. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient transportation of materials and fostering strong relationships with third-party brokers and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate haulage requirements to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with third-party brokers for competitive services.
  • Implement GPS tracking and monitor truck efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, CVOR regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Manage the dispatch team, conduct performance evaluations, and promote career development.
  • Analyze cost tracking data to identify improvements and savings in haulage operations.
  • Train office administration staff on logistics processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of dispatch experience managing 150+ daily haulers.
  • High School Diploma; experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, SharePoint) is required.
  • Understanding of finance and budgeting concepts; knowledge of JWS, JDE, and Power BI is preferred
