Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in providing administrative support for HR initiatives.
  • Expert in MS Office
     

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Post secondary education in HR or Business

Day in the life:

In this role you will work closely with the HR leadership team to support various HR programs and projects. As an HR assistant, your day may involve contacting vendors to gather information on tools and services that can help improve employee experience. You'll also be responsible for organizing this information within internal resources to optimize the efficiency of the HR team.

In addition, you will manage the content on the HR intranet, ensuring that announcements and information are updated and refreshed in a timely manner. You may also be tasked with drafting organizational announcements for employee life events and HR team announcements on behalf of the HR leadership team.

Supporting the VP, Human Resources in activities to engage and build the capacity of the HR team is another important aspect of your role. This could involve managing calendars, venues, and vendors to organize events such as HR team retreats, welcome lunches, team training sessions, or informal learning sessions over coffee.
