Job Summary

The Asphalt Plant Intern will assist the production team at our asphalt plant, gaining hands-on experience in the operations, maintenance, and quality control of asphalt production. This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to the asphalt industry and an opportunity to learn about the processes involved in producing high-quality asphalt products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the asphalt plant, including monitoring production processes and equipment.
  • Support the quality control team in conducting tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Help maintain clean and organized work areas, including equipment and storage areas.
  • Participate in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced plant staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to production metrics and quality control results.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge of asphalt production and industry practices.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in the construction and asphalt industry.
  • Basic understanding of construction materials and processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
