Job Summary
Perform testing procedures under the supervision of the Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing procedures in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO testing standards
Calculate and record test results obtained.
Communicate tests results to the Product Development Manager and Laboratory Supervisor.
Ensure equipment is calibrated and standardized according to schedule.
Communicate with Laboratory Supervisor to maintain an adequate inventory of small equipment, chemicals, and other supplies needed in the laboratory.
Keep current on all safety training and follow safe work practices diligently.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO Asphalt Binders and Emulsion tests methods and practices they have been trained for.
Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees and the general public.
Frequently need to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms and hands.
Required to sit, stoop, kneel, or couch.
Employee must safely move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
Education
Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent science-orientated education.
Co-op or internship Field Experience in an industrial environment.
