Job Summary:

Job Title: Cash & Financing Manager 
Subsidiary: Colas Inc.


The Cash & Financing Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Cash activities, including managing the company’s cash flow forecast, identifying cost-saving and profit maximizing opportunities and relationships with banks and financial institutions for optimization of financing, ensuring compliance with company, department and audit standards to maximize the protection of the company’s cash assets. They will oversee all cash transactions of Colas Inc. as a whole. They will work with other members of the Finance Department to create the vision, strategy and standards by which the Cash & Financing department provides leadership and value to the organization. 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the treasury month-end close process including the review and accurate recording of weekly cash activity to the general ledger
  • Supervise maintenance and update signatories on every global bank account
  • Oversee the monthly reconciliation tool of all company bank accounts
  • Daily cash positioning and reporting
  • Oversee the leasing of assets (equipment, vehicles)
  • Review and negotiate treasury contracts with financial institutions
  • Identify and recommend process improvements
  • Oversee daily cash forecast and global cash position reporting
  • Identify opportunities for and support global cash movements including documentation of intercompany loans
  • Maintain strong bank relationships while managing global banking structure
  • Leverage existing banking relationships to open, manage and maintain domestic bank accounts
  • Monitor and oversee existing bank account services and signatories including bank account administration for opening, migrating and closing accounts
  • Evaluate and recommend banking products, services and platforms as appropriate
  • Serve as primary administrator on online banking platforms
  • Assist with development, maintenance and operations of other hedging activities including exposure gathering (commodities)
  • Develop, monitor and upgrade cash & financing department budget
  • Manages the distribution and use of Company p-cards
  • Ensures that all financial documentation follows applicable regulations (including GAAP)
  • Work with Colas headquarter treasury department on contract and cash management

 

Education and Skills:

 

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field required
Valid Drivers’ License and ability to maintain a clean driving record
Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant financial or accounting experience required
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers and business partners
  • Strong analytical, financial and systems skills, including advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills
  • Strong accounting skills and prior experience
  • Strong experience with contract negotiations with financial institutions
  • Knowledge of banking systems and experience with wire and ACH templates is a plus
  • Self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • PowerBi would be a plus
