Compensation

$180,000-$220,000 Per Year Plus Excellent Benefits!

Job Summary

The Reliability and Maintenance Director of Equipment is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and manufacturing facilities. This role will lead the establishment of reliability processes and tracking across all activities and divisions of Colas USA. Preferred experience includes construction, mining, landfill, and refuse management.
 

Main Responsibilities

  • Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Design and implement strategies to avoid equipment failures through advanced predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigate root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Asset Reliability: Assess and continuously improve the performance and reliability of critical systems and equipment.
  • Prioritize the implementation of predictive and condition-based maintenance practices. 
  • Data Analysis: Implement Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools to track performance trends and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and Monitor Reliability Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, and develop dashboards to monitor and report on performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to foster a culture of reliability across all levels of the organization.
  • Supplier Reliability Management: Evaluate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure their equipment and services meet reliability standards.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to team members on reliability engineering principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all reliability engineering activities comply with relevant environmental regulations and safety protocols.
  • Reporting: Document findings from analyses and initiatives, tracking progress against KPIs and reporting to executive leadership.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent; technical training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
•    Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in construction, mining, landfill, or waste management.
•    Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
•    Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety protocols.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
•    Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery.

Working Conditions

•    Work may be performed outdoors in various weather conditions.
•    The role may involve physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
•    Shift work or on-call duties may be required.
