This position will work between Fairbanks (summer) and Anchorage (winter).




- Monitor safety and health regulations and provide technical support to project, plant and corporate personnel to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local safety and health regulations.

- Identify company safety training needs and assist in developing and coordinating safety training programs

- Participate in new product/process reviews including job safety analysis (JSA’s).  Review process operating procedures and provide input for safety and health considerations.

- Support plant supervisors to implement engineering controls to minimize safety and occupational health hazards

- Support project and plant personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Understand Federal, State and Local occupational safety and health regulations and monitor regulatory changes as they occur.

- Provide technical support to project and plant personnel to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.

- Advise manufacturing plants of regulatory changes with which plants must comply. Sufficient advance notice should be provided so that compliance on the effective date of new regulations is assured.

- Periodically audit practices and records of projects and plants to ensure compliance with company programs, Federal, State and Local environmental, health and safety regulations.

- Review safety inspection reports and meeting minutes.

- Other duties as assigned
